After looking at mom’s lab results, the doctors decided to postpone the harvesting of mom’s stem cells until tomorrow (Tuesday, March 9). They were uncomfortable with collecting them today due to a low platelet count. She was given another transfusion of platelets, as well as another growth stimulant shot. We will return to the clinic tomorrow for more lab work and hopefully the harvesting. It was a long day for my mom and she is resting. She’s feeling better this week, but is still fatigued. We are hopeful that they will be able to harvest tomorrow, and that they will be able to get all they need as well.
We should have heat by Wednesday. There was a misunderstanding between us and the landlord. The issue has been resolved and gas should be connected once again by Wednesday. Fortunately, today was quite warm.

Glad it’s resolved, but that was some horrible timing.
Please keep us updated in regard to the housing fund too, if it becomes depleted.
I wish there was someplace closer to Emory for your Mom to stay to cut down this travel time.
